Meet Maria: The Newest Member of the Be Social Team

The trucking industry is built by hardworking individuals who keep America moving every single day, and our job is to help tell their stories. That's why we're excited to officially welcome Maria to the Be Social team as our newest Social Media Marketing Manager.

Maria brings a passion for digital storytelling, creative content, and authentic marketing. But perhaps what we're most excited about is her curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn from the people who make this industry what it is.

We asked Maria a few fun questions so you can get to know her a little better.

First Impressions of the Trucking Industry

Q: What's your first impression of the trucking industry?

Maria:"I have grown up very agriculturally conscious about certain industries or fields that are the backbone of feeding America. However, I find that the public, and even I at one point, failed to recognize that the trucking industry plays a major role in bringing food to the table and essential goods into people's lives.

While this should be a common-sense appreciation, to many, it is not something they think about when passing trucks on the highway. At one point, this was my mindset as well. Through Be Social, I have developed a deep respect and appreciation for the work of the trucking industry, and I am very excited to apply my skills in social media and marketing toward impacting those who have provided for me and will continue to do so."

We couldn't have said it better ourselves. Trucking touches nearly every aspect of our daily lives, and helping more people understand that impact is one of the reasons we love what we do.

I look forward to building connections with the individuals my work will support and having the opportunity to give back to those who are part of the backbone of feeding and providing for America.

I am excited to collaborate with the incredible women in the trucking industry and work alongside Bethany to support Be Social in my role as Social Media Marketing Manager."

That's why welcoming Maria to our team is so meaningful. As a woman-owned business serving a traditionally male-dominated industry, I am incredibly proud to have another talented young woman joining our team and bringing her creativity, perspective, and passion to the work we do every day.

Organizations like the Next Generation in Trucking Association have shown us how important it is to introduce young people to the opportunities that exist within transportation. The future of this industry depends on the next generation discovering where they fit, and that doesn't just mean behind the wheel. It includes marketing, technology, communications, workforce development, and countless other career paths.
